This collection of Sexton's work is excellent. It provides a wide range of her work and demonstrates its importance to not only the poetry cannon, but also the feminist movement. Her poems are adept as upending social norms and ideas. Definitely a must read.

I was unaware of the author's history when requesting this. As such, I will not be reading it now or ever.

A wonderful all-in-place volume to read and reread Sexton's poetry. She is a pivotal figure in the women's movement and as relevant now as ever. My favorite single volume of her poetry is "Transformations," in which she revisions a number of fairy tales. Good stuff !
