Good day! Before anything else, I would like to extend my deepest, sincerest gratitude for sending me a digital review copy of this book (via NetGalley). Thank you very much for the opportunity!

Unfortunately, I am sad to say that I have lost interest in this particular title, and consequently, I have decided against finishing it. Forcing myself to finish a book I am disinterested in (solely for the sake of finishing it) can only negatively impact the entirety of my reading experience, which, in turn, could result in me writing an unfairly negative review. That is a circumstance I hope to avoid. With that said, I believe that the best course of action is for me to simply not read it and to refrain from publicly posting any feedback regarding this book.

I hope you understand where I'm coming from. Again, thank you for the lovely opportunity!

This is the first book in the Lovely Vicious series by Sara Wolf. Let me just begin by telling you this, if you don't like cliffhangers, this one is not for you. This will leave you with a jaw hanging ending that comes out of nowhere.

Isis is a young girl that moves from Florida to Ohio with her mom to escape a bad relationship her mom just got out of. Isis is not only going to be helping her mom try to start over and move on, but she is going to find herself in the middle of a crazy battle with Jack, AKA The Ice Prince. Isis is not in the least interested in another relationship since her previous one ended so badly.

Jack is the guy that all the girls at Isis new school drool over and long for. Jack is never seen with a girl unless it is out on the town somewhere. Jack is used to getting what he wants, but when Isis shows up, he is thrown for a loop.

I loved the banter between Isis and herself and Isis and Jack. The humor helped to move the story along very well. You will discover secrets about Jack that you could have never imagined. He is definitely a character that will have you loving him one minute and wanting to strangle him in the end.

Another warning, if you don't like cheating and F/M/F then this read is not for you either. I was not fond of that part but I wanted to know how this one ended and boy did it end in a cliffhanger. Be ready!! I am so anxious to see what happens in the next Lovely Vicious book by Sara Wolf.

Love Me Never is the first book in the Lovely Vicious series by Sara Wolf. This book was previously published as Lovely Vicious. I absolutely love these characters! Especially Isis. She's witty, smart, and the Queen of snarky sarcasm. Then add in Jack. They bring bantering to a whole new level. I loved it! This book has some of the best one liners & quotes ever. They kept me thoroughly entertained! But it wasn't all just fun and games. The more you get to know these characters, the more you realize there are things going on behind the scenes. Darker things. And they all have secrets. I read this book faster than I realized as it was hard to put down. I can't write this review fast enough, because after that ending, I need to find out what happens next.

So this book was emotional, fast-paced, entertaining and totally sucked me in. I just loved the Isis-Jack couple, but the ending... It was a cruel cliff-hanger. And sad at the same time. I just... Oh. My. God. How could this happen? What will happen? I was so happy the pair just moved on and forward each other and now this. Can't wait to read book number 2.

Love Me Never is one of those books that you have to read once in a while. Super quick, with a female main character that has the wittiest comebacks you'll ever see and an icy mysterious boy that doesn't have a happy life. That is - in a way - how this book works, and some people can say that is predictable, since there are a lot of clichés, but I truly enjoyed it.

One important thing that hooked me from the very beginning was the diversity of the main character, Isis. She was overweight and bullied, mainly by her crush, and after a traumatic event she decided to change her body and her future. So she lost the weight and she moved town. However, something I don't read a lot in YA books is the aftermath of this big changes, and in Love Me Never the author doesn't hid them.
Isis has stretch marks and zits and she's traumatized by what happened to her, and I love that all of this is important in the book. So many books create this perfect girl, someone who doesn't have zits, stretch marks, celulite, things that everyone has in some point in life, and it's a bit hurtful that authors forget those particulars of human beings. But Love Me Never doesn't do that. Isis and all of the other characters aren't perfect, just like us.

Even though the female character proved to be somewhere similar to me, there were things about her personality that I didn't enjoyed, particularly her mood swings. She would decide something in one day, and in the other she would have a completely different opinion or she would be super confident about her looks, however if someone complemented her appearance, she would immediately say she was ugly.
Okay, we're all like that sometimes but she was a bit drastic for my liking. Isis also did some things that I didn't agreed on (like paying Jack to go on a date with her friend), which made her seem a bit childish sometimes.

The male character though I really liked. Jack was such an interesting and mature character that knew what was important to him and what he had to do to achieve something. He could also be cruel while being honest, but I liked him anyway. And I particularly loved his scenes with Isis, they were hilarious together and I just wanted more of them.

There was this big mystery around Jack and some girl named Sophia, so that also kept me hooked on the pages of this book!

Now, let's talk about the ending. And I want to start by saying that once I finished this book, I immediately started the next one. That's how the ending of Love Me Never left me.
However, I didn't enjoyed it at all, mostly because the amnesia plot has been done so many times and I don't think it worked well into this book and it's plot. There were a lot of developments, mainly with Isis and Jack, and Isis' amnesia just ruined everything that had happened in the previous 300 pages.
Obviously I had to immediately start Forget Me Always, but I don't think the ending that Sara Wolf chose was the most appropriate for the plot and the characters.

Overall, I really liked the first book in the Lovely Vicious series written by Sara Wolf. Love Me Never is well written and it keeps you hooked until the very end. The characters are very funny and you can relate to them and their problems.
The only two things that could have been better for me, and could have made this a five-stars book were:
1. Isis' personality changes: she would be so confident in one moment, and super down in the other, it was like a human rollercoaster;
2. The ending: the amnesia trick was too-easy and not that realistic.

Love Me Never: Lovely Vicious by Sara Wolf is the first book in this series and was released by Entangled Publishing in April 2016. I recently found this book and I after all the praise about this book I knew I had to read it for myself. Sara Wolf creates a very realistic plot line and setting based around two high school teenagers that hate each other at first site. Blake is sixteen years old and as decided to never love again. Her past has a lot of dark history that manages to only hold on to her but make her not trust anyone. She moves with her mother from Florida to Ohio in hopes to leave her mothers abusive boyfriend behind. While starting a new school is scary for some, its a fresh start for Blake. She use to be over weight and bullied at her old school making this a time to start a new. Jack is the most popular and most handsome boy at her new school and as a nickname as the ice prince. Every girl at school is crushing on him but he has no desire for any of them. Jack is what some would call a loner. He is haunted by his past and realizes that he may never be able to leave that behind him. Blake and Jack declare war on each other after Jack hurts the feelings of Blake’s only friend. I really love the “war” and all the crazy, yet funny things that comes throughout the arguments. I find the ending to be a complete surprise, it was not what I was expecting! I can’s wait to read the next book in this series, Forget Me Always. I really like Sara Wolf’s writing style and look forward to reading many more.
