This wasn't what I'm accustomed to reading from Julie Garwood. It was a bit strange in that the characters were overly simple and much of their dialogue I would describe a silly. This was not my favorite by Julie Garwood, and I have read many of her books--this one was quite different, and was a miss for me. I normally enjoy her novels, so perhaps it just wasn't what I was expecting from her.
One Pink Rose is about Travis, the youngest of the Clayborne brothers, falling in love with a woman that makes him laugh. Emily Finnegan has her mind set on and future planned out, but, her willpower and heart are put to the test when her escort, Travis, shows his handsome self. Throughout this journey, the two fall head over ‘boots’ in love and nothing is going to stop them. There is nothing I would want to read differently in this story. The plot, characters, pace, and dialogue were on point.
Julie Garwood spins a wonderfully woven tale of love and destiny, keeping her characters intriguing and her readers clutching at their hearts in awe. I am an avid romance reader and Julie Garwood has delivered another ‘cream of the crop’ romance. I would recommend this book to all readers who enjoy a well-told romance with lots of steam and love.
This short story of Travis Clayborne and Emily Finnegan tells the story of a man tasked with escorting a mail-order bride to Montana. It was great to be back in the world of the Clayborne family, and I enjoyed having Travis as a lead character. I liked the romance between he and Emily and found it to be a good book.
I LOVE Julie Garwood! I just about own every single copy of all her books, before we had Kindles! She is an auto buy for me, I just wish she would go back to writing historical romance again!
This is book one of the Rose series. These are stories that are written with sweet love and never-ending laugh out loud moments!
Our hero,Travis Clayborne, has been tasked with escorting a mail order bride, Emily Finnegan to her future groom. Their introduction is pretty rocky, but these two certainly have you hooked. They bicker and enjoy some pretty good banter, to the reader, through their journey.
This is a quick, satisfying story that is a good introduction to the other two that follow: One White Rose and One Red Rose.
