I enjoyed this sexy and heart-wrenching story very much. I loved the buildup and the intensity of their journey.
I look forward to more from Charlotte and appreciate the opportunity to read and review this book.
There are only a few authors that would take on the task of redeeming someone like Tate who bullied Letty relentless in high school and somehow turn him into a sweet and loving man, one who knows the enormity of his crimes and who will make amends at any cost to himself. And then to top it off, the story is hugely funny, and equally tear inducing, plus super super sexy - like, dirty, filthy, beautifully sexy. That, my friends, is a Charlotte Stein special.
Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this one. A bully to hero isn't really a trope I thought I would be able to get behind, but I was wrong. Tate wormed his way into my heart the same way he did with Letty. Taking his time and being (for the most part) completely honest with her slowly chipped away at her defenses, and mine.
The love scenes were extremely hot, but it was the emotion between the two of them that really got me. I wanted them to succeed. Even when things looked like they were going to hell in a hand basket, I believed that Tate was who he said he was, not the guy he had been.
I'm not sure why this series is called Dark Obsession, but I'm looking forward to reading others in the series.
I really loved this one. I didnt think the hero could be redeemed but I loved the whole everything about him and how he cared for Lettie. I love that she was so strong but also that she gave Tate a chance. I just love how everything worked out in this story. 4.5 stars
Tate is the classic bully. Mistreating Letty through high school after she hurt his feelings. Letty enters college 2 years late and finds her bully right there with her. His new goal is to protect Letty, although it takes her a while to believe in his new attitude toward her. Once she lets her guard down, will he revert to his old ways or keep his word.
Mixed with equal parts heartbreak and heat, this is the ultimate definition of the thin line between love and hate.
I have not had a chance to read this book yet. I am still working on catching up and also trying not to get too far behind on other books. I will update this review once I have read the book.
Tate was a bully, easy to hate - but when he redeems himself and begins to fall for Letty - I began to root for him. High school is a tough time for many students who behave certain ways to become popular and to watch someone transform is a sight to behold. Well written and captivating storyline!
