My son really enjoys reading Gary Paulsen books. This one was no exception. It was a great book and he highly recommends it! I received a copy of this e-book from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Gary Paulsen is a genius children's author! I am always amazed how my students gravitate toward his titles. I would like to purchase a hard copy of this one for my class. I think it is a wonderfully imaginative book that could help students to understand perspective and story-telling. A winner from a teacher's point of view.

This story is told in lyrical form and tells the tale of an orphan raised by a philosophical old man. True to the adventurous heart of Gary Paulsen, this book relates everything to nature and how to live it. 3 stars!
