Sabrina and Michael are in the perfect hiding - yet the need to catch the cruel rapist and murderer takes Sabrina out of it. She returns to the darkest places and periods of her life to confront the psychopath/s - and her own fears.
This is the fourth in the series of Sabrina Vaughn, but can be read as a standalone in my opinion.
Trigger alert: violent rape cases. The descriptions are not graphic, but the hate and power game descriptions are powerful.
I am going for three stars just because this is a perfect case of guilty pleasure read and I aim to give higher number of stars to the literary masterpieces or high-quality read (as perceived by me). This book is none of the above. Otherwise - a reading pleasure! If you are the one to enjoy the world of killers, murderers, aesthetized violence and some heart added. And one of my guilty pleasures is to relax with the swift murder number peppered with action, sexy Rambos and smart gals! Swift, slick, dark-humour-funny and full of heart, too. One of the finer pieces in the genre!
Will read more.
When I received this book, I did not realize it was the last book of the series. I have just completed the series and loved it. I didn't want the series to end and would love to see another book. There are some unanswered questions that I would love to see in another installment.
