These characters felt so generic as did their story line. I didn't love how easy the heroine fell for his manwhore charms. For someone wanting to stay on the down-low she sure picks the wrong guy. I didn't love the banter between them and I surely didn't feel the chemistry. It almost felt like he was doing her a favor being with her. Writing style was OK and I'm sure that now, many years after this books release, the author will have have better plot lines and more likable characters.
I have mixed feelings about this book; I liked it and I hated it at the same time.
Maybe not the right book for me.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to go through with this. I might come back someday.
I would like to thank the publisher and netgalley for providing me a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley. This is my honest review.
I really enjoyed this novel. Nora is determined to change her life around and honestly? I feel like she did a really good job throughout the school year. Some people find it hard to change their life 360 degrees, but Nora really stuck to her guns and made sure she didn't screw up this year. The only thing I found frustrating was her secrecy for things. Like when her and Crosbie started to like each other, she wanted to keep it away from Kellan because they had a "rule"... Seriously? He's not your dad, Nora!! Just tell him what's up and accept the backlash. It wasn't as bad as she thought and things got better. And the other secret? Yeah...she should have found a way to get that out in the open before it exploded in her face.
Overall this was a good novel. I think with a little less secrets, it would have been a great novel. Either way, I'm glad I got a chance to read this book!

Quick thoughts:
- Despite its title and initial book cover, this is definitely NOT a love triangle.
- This is a New Adult romance done right!!!
- Explores college life realistically (e.g. the pressure to find the right major, finding yourself).
- The most adorable bromance between Crosbie and Kellan.
- Acknowledges the unfair gender-based double standards of being sexually active.
- Points out the risks of having a number of sex partners (without resorting to shaming), the importance of protection, and the necessity of consent.
- Really well-developed characters and character relationships I couldn't help but emotionally invest in.
- No unnecessary angst or drama; just a bunch of college kids trying to figure themselves out.
- The romance between Crosbie and Nora is so endearing, realistic, and swoon-worthy. I love their easygoing banter.
- The sex scenes didn't overpower the plot, but damn, the heat levels were off the charts (+ some of the most realistically written sex scenes I've ever encountered).
- I've read this twice so that ought to show how much I loved it.
