I liked this book, I didn't love it. It was a little slow paced as Commissaire Dupin is sent to Glénan Islands when three bodies are found washed up on the beach of an unoccupied island. As he interviews the various residents of the main island he finds there are many motives when the victims are identified. They were out to destroy the delicate eco-system , hunting treasure ships that have wrecked and change the lives of the locals. I didn't read book one of this series and there were several references to a girlfriend and conflicts with his superiors. I did enjoy the setting and how beautiful it was .
