After reading The Fractured Heart I gave this series a bit of a break but when I realized I never sent in my The Fractured Heart when I read it in 2016, I was able to read it and it peaked me back into this series.

This time around we get Pixie whom is the manager of Second Circle Tattoo studio. Like all the rest of the group she too has her own baggage but she seems to have caught the eye of Dred. Lead singer of Preload. He too has his own baggage.

I liked the two of them together but the thing that drives me a bit batty at times is the similarities of themes or characteristics of the characters. For example: Within this series there is always one who has a secret and keeps it protect the other. With the first book that was fine but when it keeps coming up it gets a bit tired.

Another thing, which is totally a personal non=preference is that I'm NEVER a fan of giggling heroines and every heroine in this series freaking giggles.

However, once I got over those two things I did enjoy the story. I especially loved how the dynamics of Dred and his band mates changed once Petal came into their lives. It was very sweet and now I need to read the Preload series to see more from those boys.

I absolutely LOVED this book!! The characters of Dred and Pixie are awesome! Their backstories make them that much more real and keep you enthralled all the way through the book. I loved the elements of suspense that were thrown in with Pixie's past coming back to haunt her while she's trying to work out her relationship with Dred. I really hope that we get to read more about the Preload in the coming books because they all sound like they have amazing stories!

I can't wait to read the next book!

I liked it. The series hasn’t hit returned to the heights of my feelings for the first book, but I did enjoy Pixie and Dred’s romance more than the last one.

So glad to have Pixie's story! I've been waiting impatiently for it! Her book made a great addition to the series. I loved Pixie and Dred together, and their story was wonderful to read. They were both great characters that I cared about, and the storyline was compelling. This is a great series!
