Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
I really liked this one! It moved a little fast at the end, but everything leading up to it was great. I loved how Jack and Ricky helped each other. Both of them, and Caitlyn, have so many issues from their pasts that they're all doing the best they can. Poor Ricky thought he had to carry the weight of the world on his shoulders and was afraid to hope. Jack and Caitlyn were dealing with their own issues, but watching them come together was great.
A great read and I'm excited for what happens for the next two brothers.
Have not read this book as I did not get time to read it yet. Will update the review after I have gotten a chance to read it.
Jack McShane and all her brothers were raised by wonderful parents. When his father Joe passes away, he comes back home to take over Joe’s job while figuring things out.. He was adopted by Joe when he was troubled teenager. They looked after him better than his own father and grandfather. So when he saw Ricky, he found himself in Ricky.
Jack wanted to help Ricky out but he knew life of runaways. They don’t trust people easily and when he was found out Ricky was hurt, he immediately took him home to foster just like Joe did. He didn’t know how to parent but with his mother he knew he will be okay.
When Kaitlyn showed up at Joe’s door step, Jack couldn’t keep his eyes off her. Kaitlyn was attracted to him as well but her ex-husband did such a number on her, she also didn’t trust man very easily.
As Ricky was adjusting at Jack’s house, Kaitlyn and Jack was getting to know each other as well. Both had their own past they needed to get through. For Jack, living around the house instead of traveling around being special force wasn’t on his schedule but adjusting and thinking about it because of Ricky and Kaitlyn.
What will happen to Jack, Kaitlyn and Ricky?? All three needs each other in different way but can they make it work for each other??
It was really different than what I have expected. It was about family especially foster family and bonding. It was good surprise and i enjoyed it. I can’t wait to read the next one.
Found it too hard to get into this book. Will try again in the future with this author to see if I can like her books
Love the sweet emotional funny read. Jack just lost his father, had to leave the military and due to the stipulation of his father's will have run the family business. He also didn't expect to become an instant parent to a runaway. Caitlyn is hired as a tutor to help Jack with his foster child. There's an instant attraction between the two. As they try to keep their relationship professional but eventually conceded to date. Secrets and insecurities surfaces but Jack and Caitlyn conquer their fears and give into their feelings trust in a future filled with love.
