His to Love by Stacey Lynn is a beautiful Small Town, Second-Chance Romance. The story is beautiful and captivating.
I would rate it Five Stars.
One thing this book had in spades was chemistry. These characters sizzled the pages when they were together and watching them fall back in love was super sweet. Nothing quite like a second chance romance especially when there are so many lies and betrayals that tore them apart. Worse or perhaps better for readers is the two MC's are from rival mafia families and their past relationship is not something either family will approve of especially as the heroine is already promised to someone else. Once the duo start rehashing things it doesn't take long for things to fall into place but having full conversations about things in fiction and real life seems something near impossible for men. Sometimes too time apart is something each characters needs and in their case it really seems to have been for the better and now they can have their HEA.
This book was so entertaining. I was drawn into the story from the beginning and was involved until the end. The characters were complex and interesting. I found the story to be well paced and engrossing throughout the whole book. I was invested in the couple throughout the book and felt all the emotions through both the highs and lows of the story. The side characters were such an integral part of this story as well. This is the love story i needed to read at this time. If you want an entertaining and well written book this is it for you
Second chance at love.
Tyson and Gabriella 'Blue' was young in love even though Tyson's father was detective and Gabriella's father was well known mafia. Until one day she vanished without saying good bye.
10 years has passed and now Tyson is a FBI agent. His next case was his love Gabriella and her father. He never thought he would see her again and now he need to get closer to Blue again to find out what her father is up to.
Gabriella is going back home after 10 years staying with her aunt in goat farm. She wasn't expecting to see love of her life again. When she accidentally ran into Tyson again on the way back home, all the previous feelings are coming back to her.
Now they are back home and they both want to give another chance. But Gabriella still had to give her mother her last dying wish by dating her father's second in commend. She knows she still loves Tyson and she won't give up this time but her parents are insisting she choose someone who will take over his mafia empire.
Now will Gabriella obey her parents or get back to Tyson? Tyson will have to choose his love or his revenge?
It was intense story from beginning to end. Tyson and Gabriella's love was strong.
This can be standalone. I can't wait to read the next one in the series.
Thanks to Netgalley and Loveswept for ARC in exchange for honest review.
I am a true believer that everyone deserves a second chance. Tyson and Blue definitely deserve it. They were apart due to a father taking control of a situation that he had no business doing. From the very beginning I could see how much Blue’s father wanted to control her. He didn’t want Tyson and Blue together and did what he needed to to keep them apart. The second chance starts on the plane ride back to Detroit for both of them and the story just gets better and better.
The reconnection between Tyson and Blue was the story… the love story… but there was more to Stacey Lynn’s book. There were family expectations, standing up for what is right, and making choices for yourself instead of doing what was expected. Blue is strong. Strong enough to know her mind, to love her family, to love Tyson, and to not just fall into the line expected of her by both Tyson and her father. I love how she pushed the men in her life to let her live her life as she wanted to yet she didn’t push them away for trying to protect her. Even her father, with his misguided intentions, wants to keep her safe while keeping his business intact.
The best part is that nothing in this book was easy. Love, family, growing up, or finding themselves were all struggles. Each character grew as they worked their way through life. I cannot wait for more of the Fireside Series. I recommend picking up His to Love.
His to Love is a wildly captivating journey that will show you that love transcends family, blood, and loyalty. It transforms life until nothing is left untouched. We just have to learn to trust in it and allow it to change us. Only then will we be able to fully appreciate it and savor every aspect of it no matter what happens. Our souls will not thrive until we allow love to completely take us over.
Gabriella "Blue" Galecki was pulled from her life at the whim of her father. She lived with her estranged aunt for years who owned a goat farm hours away from the life she grew up in. Feeling isolated and so very lonely, she is finally summoned back home to her old life. However, 10 years later, she has to build a new life. Determined to figure things out on her own, she pushes against the boundaries put before her at every turn. When the only boy she ever loved walks back into her life, she doesn’t know what to do. Trying to protect herself at all costs, she tries to fight against her heart, but finds one complication after another filling her path. Who can she trust, and who is truly loyal to her? Will she be able to figure out who and what she needs in her life before it’s too late, or will she find herself teetering on a cliff into a very dark and endless abyss?
Watching Tyson trying to rekindle the love and friendship he and Gabriella had before she left me with a heart full of longing and dreamy sighs. He was exactly who she needed to start her new life with, but Gabriella has to be figure that out on her own. This couple was truly breathtaking, and I couldn’t get enough of them! Their unfailing love and budding trust was truly inspiring, and I feel in love in with so very hard. What a beautiful experience!!
Stacey Lynn has stolen my heart and my very breath with this breathtaking masterpiece! She has ingrained her simple yet powerful words into my very soul. Her wonderfully complex world with its incredible characters has left me utterly blessed and so very inspired. I hated to see it end, and I can’t wait until I can read the next book in this seriously brilliant series!
I liked this story and plan to read more in the series and more from this author. The story kept me entertained and the characters we interesting.
I loved the Fireside crew. Though they all had to deal with some sad and heavy things, and these books had me crying on the train I loved every second of it. Each book dug more and more into my hear and I didn't want to put any of them down. Great Series.
This is the first book in the Fireside series. I’ve had this book in my kindle for a while now and I can’t believe I’ve waited this long to read it. This book was captivating and somewhat suspenseful. I loved how Ms. Lynn developed these characters and how they were able to get to know each other again. They had loved each other once and this was their second chance to be together forever. But I should already know that things are never that simple it takes a while before they get their happily ever after. Tyson and Blue had great chemistry and they belonged together.
Blue was a very strong person for being able to move forward with her life after her mother passed away. Things seemed to spiral downward after that happened. Tyson was a man that loved Blue but his heart was broken after she left without a word. Now he had a job and that job was going to bring him so many problems but it was also going to bring him some happiness. From the moment that he saw Blue in that picture then again in real life that love seemed to still be there. There was something driving him to make sure that Blue was safe but for the life of me I couldn’t figure why. I knew that she was from a Mafia family but there had to be more of a reason. I needed to find out why.
His to Love was a great read. The storyline was perfect as were the characters. I can’t wait to see what Ms. Lynn has in store for the next book in this series.
Received ARC from NetGalley in exchange for an Honest Review
I am going through my Netgalley account and clearing up some titles, I never downloaded this book it archived before I was able to so I am unable to read and review for this reason. I apologize that I didn't know this one had been approved.
3.5 stars.
Enjoyable second chance romance. The writing was good and I really liked Tyson and Blue as well. Storyline held my interest and was a fast read for me but sometimes I struggled a little with credibility. Overall a good read and will definitely be up for reading more by this author.
