Georgie has been caught in a trap of her father's making for years. Married off to a man her father's age and then when she's finally free, she's stuck having to take care of him in order to have a roof over her head when he passes. Of course the place he chooses to move them to in his last days is the home he stole from the father of the man she has always loved. And the one who felt betrayed by her after she left. Rob has always loved Georgie, even after she left.
I liked the way the story was written in a pocket of time. As we read the novel we slowly find out what happened, but it comes in small slips of knowledge, rather than seeing the events in one or getting a huge dump of information. Georgie really is a great character, she's given a really bad situation and really rises to make the best of it. The rest of the characters were fun and light, which really helps bring up the entire feel of the novel. However, the novel does have an unnatural feel to it, as if it's a little too contrived. None the less it's a good read and I really did enjoy it.
