Unfortunately I wasn't able to go through with this. I might come back someday.
I would like to thank the publisher and netgalley for providing me a free copy in exchange for an honest review.
Interests have changed - no longer going to review this book as its bo my cup of tea any longer - sorry
Unfortunately, I request this book 4 years ago and I never got the chance to read it. Therefore, I can't give my opinion and a fair review to it.
A fun, light-hearted and quick read for all who loves Disney and Fairytales. It was incredibly cute and I would recommend.
Good day! Before anything else, I would like to extend my deepest, sincerest gratitude for sending me a digital review copy of this book (via NetGalley). Thank you very much for the opportunity!
Unfortunately, I am sad to say that I have lost interest in this particular title, and consequently, I have decided against finishing it. Forcing myself to finish a book I am disinterested in (solely for the sake of finishing it) can only negatively impact the entirety of my reading experience, which, in turn, could result in me writing an unfairly negative review. That is a circumstance I hope to avoid. With that said, I believe that the best course of action is for me to simply not read it and to refrain from publicly posting any feedback regarding this book.
I hope you understand where I'm coming from. Again, thank you for the lovely opportunity!
Thanks to Netgalley and Pikko’s House for giving me this book to review.
A Stolen Kiss is a nice light YA fantasy book which has a Fairytale like plot. It is fast paced, with a magical quest and a sweet romance. However, it is also predictable and a bit forgettable. Apart from Derric, the characters were not that interesting and felt flat.
Maria is a kind character who grows in independence. Derric is the most interesting character as he is selfless, clever and complex and during the book grows in confidence.
This is an enjoyable and I am looking forward to reading the next book A Stolen Crown. I would recommend A Stolen Kiss to fans of Young Adult fairytales.
This was a whirlwind read - super fun storyline with great characters!

I gave myself some time to come back to this story as I wasn't enjoying it the first time, thinking that it was an issue of it's-me-not-you, but sadly after another attempt A STOLEN KISS wasn't a story for me. I thought it would be a fun, adventurous story, but I had a difficult time getting into the story. It was a bit confusing and hard to follow a lot of the time (seeing as it seemed to pull a lot of pieces from different things and try to blend them all at once) which prevented my connecting to it. There was also a juvenile feeling to it geared towards a younger crowd rather than the general YA which can be read my either a teen or an adult with no issues. I do, however, think readers who are younger will enjoy the cute and fun nature of this story.
I quite loved this wonderful fairy tale, filled with magical creatures, cute characters and plot twists. Sometimes it felt like the author used a mashup of several Disney movies, but that didn't bother me, as the book was very light and interesting to read.
