Turn Me Loose is the 3rd instalment in Rosalind James' Paradise series, and it is here we are welcomed into the story of Rochelle and Travis, their ups and downs, the twists and turns and definitely the sassiness of their burgeoning relationship.
Paradise, Idaho - a small university town, full of diverse and beautiful characters, it is here that Rochelle lives and works, along with her sister Stacey, who becomes an integral player in the storyline.
Travis meets Rochelle (for the second time, as we discover throughout!) when he takes a teaching position at the university where Rochelle also works. The sparks most definitely fly, and Ms James just captures their magic and makes it fly with her words! At times I laughed along with these two, I most definitely smiled at their antics and Rochelle's feisty nature had me saluting her with a "You go girl!" fist pump!
There are moments of suspense, and surprise, with tons of romance and wonderfully developed characters. Definitely a hard book to put down 😀
Turn Me Loose has it all - the writing flows, keeping the reader wanting more, and I'm so looking forward to discovering more of the townsfolk of Paradise, Idaho in Ms James next book of the series. Definitely a hard book to put down 😀

In Turn Me Loose, we return to Paradise, Idaho for another suspenseful adventure! This may be my favorite series of all Rosalind James books yet! We meet Rochelle & Travis, they hooked up in a bar one night, had a great time & then Travis leaves without a word to Rochelle, breaking her heart. Rochelle is a strong, divorced, 30 something, independent woman. Rochelle works on the university campus offices. She "takes care" of her younger sister, Stacey, whom is always having "issues" with boys, drugs, school, etc! One day at work, a new professor shows up at Rochelle's desk... I fall in love with him from the beginning! Rochelle has a funny nosy older woman as her next door neighbor, whom always has words of advice for her. I didn't want this story to end. It is fast paced, romantic, exciting & suspenseful all rapped up in one book. This is the book that will get you hooked & you will need to read all the rest of Rosalind James books!

Loved this book. Rochelle's story is the 3rd installment in the Paradise series. Travis is the guy that fulfills all of those thoughts of what a relationship should be. The chemistry is off the charts. It reminds me of Cal and Zoe from Carry Me Home.

This book is full of romance, suspense, mystery, and murder. And let's not forget the heat. When Travis whispers in Rochelle's ear, ......Wow, you just have to read it for yourself.

The story and the characters are so well written that you immediately fall into their world. To me, a true sign of a good book is one where you can lose yourself to the story. I definitely recommend this one.

Rosalind James is an amazing writer, there's no denying. The sub-genre of suspense romance though is just not my thing. But this is super personal because it is obviously a thing.

Very realistic - Life is not always tied up in a pretty bow but sometimes the end result is worth the struggle

The book hooked me from the first scene, when an unknown female calls out for help while fading in and out of a drugged haze. I read it straight through, engrossed in both the sweet romance and the mystery.
The heroine was a wild child and is coming out of a divorce, desperate not to revive a bad reputation in this small rural college town. She’s also coping with her younger sister who is making the same mistakes she once made.
Our hero is a tech mogul with a rural background. After his first venture was dissolved for personal reasons, he takes a job teaching at the small college in town for one semester while he figures out what comes next.
Travis and Rochelle had a hot one-night-stand a few months ago and their re-introduction is colored by that. Both characters are trying to figure out the second acts in their lives.
I loved Travis. He embodied everything I look for in a hero without crossing into caricature territory. Rochelle was a good character also. A woman who has made her share of mistakes and refuses to give up. Instead she’s worked hard to get as far as she can without a degree and won’t allow any jerk to put her down.
The secondary characters were interesting on their own. Ms. James did a good job creating a sense of place and exploring the problem of prescription drug abuse. While part of a series, this book can be read on its own with no problem.
