Haleigh Rae Mitchner was never good enough no matter how much she did she was always below the standard set by her Mom. She is a successful doctor and lives with her best friend Abby.
Cooper Ridgeway is always there for her even though she has what she believe are secrets from him. He will do anything for any one. Which is how he ends up in Dr. Haleigh's delivery room with a young girl.
The Ardent Springs books are stand alone books however I like the fact that I was able to read about the characters from the past books and it all fits in.
This is all I am giving you. Your emotions will be all over this place you want to feel sorry for Haleigh but her strength won't let you. She has a lot to deal with and it is going to hit the fan before it gets better. In the end you will end up rooting for her.
