Wonderful book on grief. From a Buddhist perspective, it has meaning for those of any - or no - religious tradition. It doesn't bring false assurances but rather ways to engage one's grief in such a way to find one's own path through the journey.

Dr. Newland describes his grief through his perspective of a Buddhist scholar. Many people go through a similar tragedy and this book can be helpful for those who are grieving and those who know others who are grieving. Dr. Newland puts into words what others often cannot, in a way that shows us the depth of his struggle.
