My Husband's Wife is a great psychological thriller which is told through the 2 central characters Lily, an ambitious newly wed lawyer and Carla, a young Italian girl who lives in the same block of flats. Both female characters aren't particularly likeable and both have complex personalities, but this makes the plot flow and is a gripping and tense story.

I would definitely put this as a domestic thriller. Suspense.

This book is very well thought out, oh my goodness so surprisingly clever!

There were so many ways this could have gone, it very much surprised me.
Why did I overlook this book for so long. I’m so glad I got to this now.

This starts off from the present then it goes back in time leading to the present day fifteen years prior. I absolutely loved what this author did with this plot.

Lilly marries Ed in a quick romance thinking that she can leave her secrets behind her.
We all know that no matter how deep or obscure we want to bury something it eventually seeks it’s way out and comes to the surface.

And just what happens when it does.

Who knows what?

Very suspenseful tale and I loved it!

This was a very enjoyable read. I liked some of the characters. Some I didn't like. I had my theory of what happened but I was wrong. I liked the ending too. Perfect. 4*.

Nice holiday read. Jane Corry writes with conviction and provides a believable narrative into the secrets of a marriage and who you can trust in a relationship.

I picked this book up straight after reading Blood Sisters and it certainly didn’t disappoint. It was engaging and thrilling to read all the way through. I was totally engrossed and can’t wait until Jane Corry’s 3rd book is out.

I was intrigued by the premise of the novel. But it lacked the page-turner factor for me though, so I wasn't moved to continue reading much beyond the first few chapters. She is a fine writer, but this one wasn't for me sadly. Thank you for the opportunity to read the extract and give feedback.

I was disappointed with this book. Although it is well written and seemed promising to begin with, I found it too slow paced and it didn't keep my interest.

I honestly didn't really like this book but felt compelled to finish it . I can't put my finger on what the problem with it was but it just didn't click with me The storyline was good but I didn't like any of the characters in the book and this made it difficult for me to enjoy it.

Dark, readable and mostly enjoyable. But also, I must admit, slightly forgettable.
