Having not read the first 5 books in this series I can say that I am not missing anything. This was beautifully written with 2 damaged souls who find each other and fall hard and fast. Throw in a beautiful baby who turns the alpha male to mush all we are missing is the dog. This story was so engaging that I finished in a day. The support characters also seem like they would be good to read about. I would recommend for anyone who likes strong alphas who are not afraid to be vulnerable. The only issue I had was with all the cursing that the main male character liked to spout. I was approved for this book back when I signed up for NetGalley but did not know how it worked. All opinions are my own
I received an e-copy of this story for an honest review.
As a single Mom I have to say this story particularly touched me, and will now have a special place in my heart. Sidney Halston described some things that Penny said, and thought, exactly like I have been through. Granted I wasn’t raised with lots of money, or a step-dad who was a TV celebrity, but I know all about the worries of trying to make it on your own with a small child. And for her to be able to express those worries and thoughts that some of us single Moms have had, I send a big Kudos to you Ms. Halston.
Penny just gave birth to Sarabell and running away and starting a new life in new city, new state. She had very privileged life until she gave birth. She wouldn't chance anything and she promised she would give better life for her daughter. She was working two jobs and barely has time for herself.
Travis Calhoun, MMA fighter aka Texas enjoys spending time at a bar where he enjoys company of Penny. He is trying to even get a date from her and he has been working on it for close to a year. When she accepts his date, they go out but he finds out she has a daughter.
Travis loves his life style of dating and enjoys being bachelor. He has expressed his dislike of kids to Penny numerous times and he wasn't ready for insta family. Penny enjoyed spending time with Travis but she wouldn't tell him about her daughter and just enjoy the time.
Travis was enjoying time with Penny but when he finds out she has a daughter, he feels betrayed and leaves her. Penny doesn't expect Travis to accept her and leaves everything the way it is until her past catches up to her.
She has been hiding away from her horrendous stepfather a famous TV preacher and her daughters father comes in. Penny doesn't want to go back but she is not sure who she can rely on.
Travis didn't want a family and he doesn't like kids. Now Penny is in trouble and he can't just ignore her and he would do anything to protect them even if she has a daughter. They will need to figure out if they can be more than friends.
It is really cute and I loved Sarabelle. She loved Twavis and she really brings another layer to the story.
It was great ending to this series and this can be standalone.
Thanks to Netgalley and Loveswept for ARC in exchange for honest review.
Received an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
My heart! Why is the big tough guys who say they don't like kids are the biggest softies? Travis is looking for fun with Penny - she's a little straightlaced, but she's got him hooked. But Penny has a past that won't let her go and a daughter that is one of the cutest kids I've ever read. What comes next is a heartwarming story about love and loss and pain and sacrifice and family. I found myself getting choked up quite a few times while reading...and while there were plenty of bumps along the way to their happiness, Halston gave us a story that defined happy ending.
My first thought was how sad that the WtF men’s stories are all told and Travis is the last one in this series. From the very beginning of this series I loved the characters, their significant others, and their stories. I was invested on them all being okay, happy, and together and now it is done. I am positive I will continue to read Sidney Halston’s future books and will love them because she is so incredibly talented.
In Stacked Up we see Travis grow up. He’s a fun, sexy, mma fighter who doesn’t want to settle down or have kids. As Penny comes into his life he still wants to have fun and still doesn’t want kids but…. Sarabelle gets to him. How can a cute little girl not win over the protective side of a MMA fighter? The answer is the fighter cannot win. His heart belongs to her from the beginning. I love when a tough guy falls for the little girl, even before he falls for the woman.
Penny and Travis are perfect for each other. He has the funds, the house, and the love to keep her safe from an over bearing stepfather. She has the heart, the skills, and the will to win his heart. She doesn’t expect him to protect her, she doesn’t expect him to fall in love with her, but she deserves all of that and more. Travis is the best and only guy for the job.
This book and this series are some of the MMA books I have ever read. The characters are real, the trust and love is real, and the stories are ones that you won’t forget. I recommend checking out this book.
Each book is a stand alone. They can be read out of order. The characters appear in each other’s stories but each book is its own story.
Sexy. Sweet. Unforgettable. I love this author and the stories she writes. Great chemistry. Undeniable attraction. Smoldering tension. Characters that make you feel everything. Highly recommended this book y'all!
I have not had a chance to read this book yet. I am still working on catching up and also trying not to get too far behind on other books. I will update this review once I have read the book.
I loved this title. Having previously read JL's story, I was interested to read her brother Travis's story. On paper, Travis seems like the type of man you'd want to run quickly away from. What you can't learn from paper is that Travis was doing his best to survive when he himself was still a child. Penny has been fending for herself since she made her escape while pregnant with her little girl. Her daughter is now a year old and Penny is carving out a life for herself even if she still only barely makes ends meet. Travis is falling for Penny harder and harder each day, and Penny is hiding her daughter's existence from Travis, knowing how little he would want to be involved with any child. He doesn't think he is made for that life and doesn't want to screw up a child as badly as his own mother did him. When Penny's past comes to claim her, will Travis step up to be her knight in shining armor?

I am going through my Netgalley account and clearing up some titles, I never downloaded this book it archived before I was able to so I am unable to read and review for this reason. I apologize that I didn't know this one had been approved.
This is the sixth and final book in the fabulous Worth the Fight series, and it features and MMA fighter Travis Calhoun and bartender Penny Richards. She's in hiding from her stepfather because having a baby out of wedlock is a HUGE no no for the daughter of a famous evangelical tv personality. For a year she's been in Tarpon Springs, FL trying to resist the charming MMA fighter. Travis is a part of a reality TV series, featuring MMA fighters and she was photographed kissing him, which alerted EVERYONE as to her whereabouts. This is where the chaos begins.
I understand why he never wanted kids. It really breaks my heart but seeing him with Belle is just too cute for words. Travis and Penny are just two people, that if they could get over all their hangups, what they shared would be insanely beautiful...and sexy. Let's not forget how HOT they are together!
I've loved every one of the books in this series and I'm sad to see it end. Watching all these alpha men go after the women that are destined to be theirs has been fun and exciting! Bravo Sidney Halston! Great story lines with loyal and loving characters.

Great story. Sidney Halton was a new author and I will definitely read more books from this author.
