Oh, I really enjoyed this one! My Perfect Mistake by Kelly Siskind is fun, sweet, fast-paced and a charming read. It had quite a few laugh-out-loud moments that I enjoyed. I loved Shay, the female lead. She has quite the snarky and sassy attitude and I loved that.
Kolton was also pretty easy to love and like, you can't help it! He is sweet and caring with a good head on his shoulders.
Overall, this book had everything I was looking for at the moment — wit, sass, humour and some hot scenes. I loved the characters and I also loved that the plot line wasn't over the top with drama or angst. It was just perfect to make the book interesting. I enjoyed it so much I had a hard time putting it down!
4 stars!
I actually read My Perfect Mistake back when it first came out in April. What drew me to the book was the excerpt that was in the release blast I posted. It had me laughing while I was working on that blog post. Right away I knew I had to read it and I'm so glad that snagged my attention. I loved this book. The characters were fabulous. You can't ignore the sexual tension between Kolton and Shay. I enjoyed the sarcastic and tenacious nature of Shay. I loved how strong and grounded Kolton was. They balanced each other out. They also bickered like an old married couple and it was rocking awesome! Two words... Verbal foreplay! I almost didn't want them to hook up because I was enjoying the hell out of the tension. But once they do, holy cow... Kelly's writing was fantastic. I loved how she mixed the funny moments with the more emotional elements. I loved the sexiness as much as I loved the sweeter moments. My Perfect Mistake was the first book of Kelly's and I'm excited to read more.
I absolutely loves this series. The book was fun, at times sad and left me happy that it was a nice, sweet HEA. Kelly Siskind is definitely a favorite author! I'm looking forward to reading more from her.

This book was a lot of fun to read. It started out on a girls' trip to Aspen for some skiing. Then some jerk nearly tries to run Shay off the slopes and it all goes from there. Kolton is a jerk. But they can't stop thinking about each other. He doesn't do long distance relationships so it presents a problem. Such a romantic story. The characters are all so unique and wonderful. My favorite had to be Jackson. I have a quirky son so I could totally identify with him. There are some very hot chemistry in this book as well.
I LOVED this book! It's funny, sweet and just a great read. While I didn't like Kolton at first, I really liked how he became so enamored with Shay. He was determined that she was it and just had to show her.
I love this start of the series and can't wait for Lily and Raven's stories! I'm sure they will be a crack up too.
And Jackson reminds me of the kid from Jerry Maguire. I'm convinced they're twins separated at birth. Read this book and tell me if you agree!
