I actually have been slowly working my way through this book for a year now. It is not a fast-paced book, and you could call the tone laconic in a way. I started reading this book before the election of 2016, and after the election, I began to feel there was a parallel between the stories shared in this book and the turmoil that has taken place in this country, both pre- and post-election. The book drones but pay attention to the details, to the stories being told and you'll find relevance and thought-provocation.
