This was a good, factual book about orphan trains. It would be a perfect fit for a student who is studying history or. society.
I knew nothing about this issue in the American history. It was interesting to follow the lives of these orphaned children and see where they will end up. It reads almost like a novel, but the historical aspect gives it an even more acute importance.
Thank you for the opportunity to read this title. Unfortunately, I will not be able to purchase this for my library.
Great introduction to such a tough subject - what they went through was harrowing and I feel that it is excellent that someone has taken the time to collate their stories to get them out in to the world - ideal book to be used as a springboard to find out more on this subject - really well put together and a clear and concise book to read - 4 stars
