Very few pastors make it to 50 years. In fact, it has been reported that nearly 80% of seminary graduates drop out of the ministry within 10 years of graduation. So when a book by a successful pastor of over 50 years, there is wisdom more valuable than gold available. This book does not disappoint. The good, the bad, the happy, and the sad are revealed, and the wisdom to know how to trust God through it all is provided. The wisdom is given from a pastorly heart, exposing the inadequacy of self, church members, the world, the latest book or fad. It also shows the wisdom of walking in step with the Spirit as God reveals in Scripture. I am thankful for this book and for the example of Bob Russell.
