For a Dover Thrift Edition, the book cover of Chicago Stories was quite appealing. Inside, a few well-known stories mixed with obscure ones, presented chronologically, beginning at the start of the 20th century. The final story was from 1990. In many, atmospheric Chicago played a very minor role.
