I didn't download this book because I ended up winning it on another website. I always check NG first to see if they have a book I want to read to request but since I was declined I'm glad I won it via another website.

Delightful beyond belief. I loved this book. Quite short, and fun to read, this is a wonderful story that made me laugh, made me remember my own childhood on Long Island, and made me reflect! Thank you to Netgalley and Crown Publishing for the perusal. This is a terrific read!

'The Clancys of Queens: A Memoir' by Tara Clancy is a feisty look at growing up in multiple houses by an original voice.

Tara "Scooter" Clancy tells all kinds of stories in this book. She talks about hanging around her foul-mouthed and harsh Italian grandmother. She hangs out with her mother and her mother's new husband in the Hamptons. She spends time with her dad and his oddly named friends in his favorite local bar. Through it all there are fights and friendships and finding out who you really are.

The stories are feisty, funny and full of life. Tara has a knack for bringing her personal stories to life in a way that makes the reader feel like they are sitting across the table from her drinking a beer or eating one of her grandmother's zeppoles. I really enjoyed reading this one.

I received a review copy of this ebook from Crown Publishing and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.

Tara Clancy is so entertaining! I've seen some of her talks online & had the chance to meet her at an event in NYC last year. She's just as hilarious in person as she is in writing. I ended up listening to the audiobook instead of finishing the print book because it came highly recommended to me by several people. Needless to say, I don't regret this at all, as her voice and narration add something to the story that my imagination couldn't have possibly dreamed up while reading the print version. I'll be passing along the audiobook recommendation to all!
