This is one of those stories I liked but didn’t love but felt invested enough that I wanted to continue reading but felt no sense of urgency to do so. It was a quick and easy read and I enjoyed the overall storyline and found the characters interesting. Sometimes it did feel a bit too fast-paced and some things were glossed over making me feel disconnected. This one falls into the "good" category for me.
I loved this book in The Overnight Billionaire series.
Grayson Beaumont was an artist who did not care about business on a full-time bases. He knew he could have any women with just a one look and the stroke of his brush, but Clohe was a hard sell, yet she did not know what inhibitions she would be willing to give up to be with Grayson Beaumont.
The sexually chemistry between these two was evident from the beginning but niether of them knew what was really coming onto the canvas and into their lives.
Great story and Katie Lane really knows how to give these billionaire heroes the right kind of women to move them from the boardroom into the bedroom and a future filled with love and happines.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher for an honest review.
You know we all have that one person or persons that we think are out of our league in one way or another. Be it friendship or relationships we have a certain type we feel is above, below, or just right for us. In this particular book the "above me" rings true for these characters. They both feel like the other is way out of the others league. Funny how we do that to ourselves right?
Chloe is a model who's becoming quite famous in her own right. Yet she hides. There's just something about her that Grayson can't put his finger on. She's everything he's always wanted but she seems to not want to have anything to do with him.
Now Grayson is in charge of the company he and his brothers run together. One is on his honeymoon the other on maternity leave with his wife. It's up to Grayson to keep it all together. One thing missing though - is Grayson's ability to create. He's the artist in the family. He should be eating up the creative freedom afforded him since his brothers are out of the office. It isn't until Chloe forces her way to be in his presence that he even feels the pull to create again.
Of course secrets can the be bane of any relationship be it intimate or just friendship. Chloe has a BIG one, but someone is after her and Greyson is determined to find out why. What he finds he might not want to know.
Is discovering another's secrets worth what you might actually dig up?
We finally have tackled another book that has been my TBR pile forever. YAY!!!! I'm glad I have finished Waking Up With a Billionaire, because it now completes the series. I would recommend not reading this story as a standalone. There are a few things that happen in the previous books that come back in Waking Up With a Billionaire, epecially Chloe's past. Other than that this was book was a pretty good read. I did enjoy Chloe and Grayson's interaction.
In Waking Up With a Billionaire we have two people that can't really stand each other. Okay, they both find each other attracted to one another, but Chloe is on the run and trying to stay hidden. While Grayson is trying to make sure the company stays intact while his brother's are away. He has to keep Chloe in town until Eden gets back from her honeymoon with Nash, by the way not an easy task. Anyway, Grayson helps Chloe overcome her past issues with her family. During this story, they draw closer to one another, they each help one another with their problems.
Overall, I did enjoyed Waking Up With a Billionaire, I thought it was a nice conclusion to the series. We have all the Beaumonts having a happy ever after. I even like the epilogue with family a few years down the road. These books need to be read together. I wouldn't recommend them being read separately, because a few of the things that happen in the previous books. Plus, these brothers are pretty tight. I think Grayson and Chloe's story is a good fit for them.
