Lots of romance with a few unexpected bumps in the road. Interesting characters to follow as they maneuver through the intricacies of romance. There can be some ups and downs and some interference by some well-meaning characters. Good read.
Stormswept engages the mind, senses, especially the heart.
The day after marrying sexy, passionate Rhys Vaughan, Lady Juliana St. Albans learns that he has died after the ship he was on wrecked. She mourns his death over the years, but is ready to marry again 6 years later when Rhys shows up and stops the wedding. Though Juliana is glad to see him, he's changed. He's become hard, and he things she betrayed him. Tempers evoke passion and they fight to find they love they had in the past.
Very well written and sensuous.
On their wedding night Rhys Vaughn was pressed in to the navy, and his wife Juliana St. Albans taken home by her brothers. Later she was told he was dead.
Six years later, on the eve of her betrothal to Stephen Wyndham, Marquess of Devon, Rhys returns!
Thus begins a tale of lost love, unforgiveness lies and deceit. And finally redemption.
Potentially a good novel but in the end I was frustrated by the length of time it took the tale to reach resolution.

A genre which I am partial towards thus the story has its exciting points for me. Romance is always a plus point for me thus I am inclined more to these types of stories.
I love, love, love Sabrina Jeffries. I've been reading her historical romance novels for a very long time and her novels never dissappoint me! Stormswept is brilliant with vibrant characters that touches the heart of a reader. I recommend Stormswept to all romance lovers who enjoy a wonderfully told story that takes the reader into the story.
This was okay. It didn't really stand out for me. Nothing seemed new or original. The characters were very one dimensional.
Stormswept is set in Wales. Juliana St. Albans is the daughter of a powerful lord . Rhys Vaughan is Juliana husband whom she thinks is dead, what a surprise it is when he shows up when she’s about to marry someone else. Juliana is a strong woman and tells it like it is. Rhys is a stubborn man and won’t believe Juliana didn’t betray him. I enjoyed this book and have been a Sabrina Jeffries fan for a long time.
I got this book from Netgalley and I was so excited to get the book!! I was not too sure about the time era that it was set in. That is not normally the setting that I prefer. The historical aspect of the book was very interesting. I loved the fact that the main characters got to know eachother rather than let lust take its course. They talked to one another, read poetry together, and in general just got to know what the other was about. What I do not understand is how someone can be so in love and be so distrustful of the other. If you know a person isn't that part of loving someone. That is part of what drove me so bonkers reading this much of it was going on about betrayal. The ending was really good though. Everything came together, in such a nice and wonderful way.
I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest and fair review. This book tells the story of Juliana St. Albans, who falls in love with Rhys Vaughan. Juliana is the daughter of an earl and Rhys is the son of a squire, and their match is an unusual one. It is made even more unusual due to the fact that Juliana's father recently took ownership of Rhys's father's estate after winning it in a game of cards. Nothing can keep these two apart though, so despite the evidence that they should be enemies they decide to run away together and get married. Only on the night of their wedding (after it though) Juliana's brothers kidnap Rhys and force him (through impressment which apparently was an actual thing) to join the Navy. After 7 long years, Juliana decides that its time to give up hope and re-marry, and that's when Rhys comes waltzing back in. Not to save the day though! To punish Juliana for "her part" in his impressment. But still despite the odds, neither Juliana nor Rhys can deny the attraction between them. Can they resolve the issues of their past in order to move forward though?
Overall I liked this book ok. Juliana was such a lovable character and I really admired how patient and forgiving she was. At the same time I thought Rhys was pretty pig-headed and not as appealing as I'd hoped. And the plot line, while riveting, was slightly horrifying. I can't believe that impressment was something that was actually allowed to happen. And while they are still her brothers, I can't believe that after her brother had her husband literally banished and then lied to her about it that she could even say that a relationship could attempt to be repaired. I would've just been like "Bye have a nice life you suck." If you can get past those couple pieces though and overlook the glaring awfulness that happened to Rhys, this book was pretty good.
