Chilling, tense, suspenseful, well-written. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading another book by Giliotti.
3.5 stars. Enjoyable detective story. A little creepy, a little twisty, likeable characters and a suitably evil villain. Only thing I didn't much like was the mystical, fated relationship with Marie-Justine--the book didn't need it, it didn't add anything, and was a bit over the top. But overall a good murder mystery.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with a copy of this novel in exchange for an honest review. This was a fast-paced and easy to read police procedural novel.
At times this was boring. There was not a lot of mystery as we got a perspective from the killer, it was more of 'will he get caught'. Durbin was creepy at times which added some positive notes to the story. There was no real emotional connections to the characters for me. I would read another book by this author.
