Who was Bobby Kennedy? A question that one that Larry Tye answers in Bobby Kennedy The Making of a Liberal Icon by Larry Tye thanks to hundreds of interviews with people close at the brother of the President John Fitzgerald Kennedy.
Optimist, beauty, idealist, Bobby Kennedy shared with his more famous and powerful brother John the same ideals for a better America, more equal, more right for everyone.
In the book we will also discover a more hidden Bobby Kennedy, and what it happened in the between, and in the creation of this liberal man through the history of the America of the 1950s.
A beautiful, sometimes tragic reconstruction of crucial years that changed the world forever.

If you love history and a beautiful precious book of a wonderful man part of a great dynasty with beautiful and visionary minds, this book is for you.

Highly recommended.

Excellent insight into one of America's most intriguing men and political families.

One of the best Kennedy biographies I've read! Despite the prodigious page length Tye's chapters fly, expertly blending Kennedy the figurehead with Kennedy the man. If you've ever felt the Kennedy legacy is too convoluted, this is the book to unpack everything.

I love anything and everything about the Kennedys, so I was ecstatic to read this book. This is probably the best biography of Bobby Kennedy I've read. It's a well-balanced account of his life and rise to power and it shows the inner battle he struggled with between his liberal beliefs and his conservative religious background. This was a very detailed, well-researched book.

*I received an advance reading copy from the publisher in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.*
