I received this in a set from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This was the first in the series about a secret organization that protects the world. We have a girl who has lived a very sheltered life and is looking to break some rules. She wants to learn about her past and has found just the man to help her or should I say vampire. I did enjoy the world the author introduced us to and I cannot wait for to start the next one.
Book 2, 3 and 3.25: This is a review for the remaining books in the series. I did enjoy the read. It has taken me a very long time to finish just because I receive so many books all the time. This series deals with vampires, demons, and angels. It is an interesting take and definitely tells us not to make judgements based on spiecies. I thought it was very well done.

Having this series all together is want made the rating so high for me. I did not have to wait. I could just flow from one read right into the next.
