the agony that remains by Brandon Callahan.
Jeremiah Norwood and Brandon Callahan are on a road trip to find supernatural places. they start with tahlequah.
This was a interesting read. I was Intrigued by what they found out. there was some spooky scenes in the book. I felt like I was there watching it all. very creepy and eerie. my favourite part was the house with the Allen brothers. that was spooky. 5*.
This book is rather interesting but quite densely written.
The story is based a true story and beneath the preaching and over descriptive passages, there is a genuine story aiming to get out. The author has a tendency to overwrite and use of repetitive information to ensure that his audience is hit over the head with his underlying agenda.
At the base of the book, is a genuine story that is very frightening and thought provoking and provides the reader with a real sense of dread and doom. The book could do with a good strong editor who could have guided the book into a five star book.
The Trail of Tears case and the experiences written are fascinating and extremely compelling. I had put the book down on numerous occasions and it didn't hold my interest. Saying this, after I had finally worked my way through it, I found the story very interesting.
Overall, I will reward this with two and half stars due to the great book trying to get out and the guts and bravado of the author. As stated previously, if the book had a strong editor, this would have been a certified winner. I am interested to see where this author goes in the future and I will look out for him in the future. As a first book, it is adequate.
