FALLING FREE - Tina Wainscott

#3 in the Falling Fast romance series

GREAT CHARACTERS - 4 stars

Plot - 4 stars - When Grace faces a devastating blow about her father, she realizes that her career as a defense lawyer isn't fulfilling anymore, so she's in search of something new. When she meets Tanner at a local bar and is attracted to him, she wonders if he's the one to meet her needs. But both are used to being alone and question their feelings.

Writing - 4 stars - I was caught up in the story right away. I have read the previous book, but it wasn't necessary to know any history to immediately be able to dive into the story and get involved. Wainscott has created a warm and close community of people, and it was great to revisit with Pax and Gemma, Raleigh and Mia from previous books.

Characters - 4.5 stars - This is a big plus for this book. Although I've read the previous book in this series and found it OK, this set of main characters really shone for me and really made the book very appealing. Tanner is a sexy professional drifter who seems to have strong self-confidence, although he definitely has a vulnerable side. Grace, a successful attorney, definitely has issues about her emotions as a result of her upbringing. She and Tanner are a perfect match, recognizing each other's vulnerabilities and bringing out the best in each other. I loved their relationship, and the sexual tension built up just enough, then turned into a sweet and sexy relationship that I enjoyed watching.

Title - 4 stars - This is mentioned many times, with Tanner encouraging Grace to let go and enjoy herself, trusting both him and herself to grow and share.

Cover - 3 stars - An attractive cover, but the couple doesn't really look like I imagined them to look, so it was a little distracting.

Overall - 4 stars - A very nice, easy-to-read story about a couple who finds each other and develops a loving relationship. The writing is casual, drew my attention right away, and involved me in the story immediately. And the characters really sold it for me--they're sweet and pleasant, and I was certainly rooting for their success. I will definitely look for more from this author.

Tanner and Grace have nothing in coomon. That doesn't stop the immediate attraction and heat coming feom them. Grace knows that nkw isn't the time to fall in love but that doesn't stop Tanner from tempting her.

Love this series, and this one is another great book! Love the sweet story, and the characters are great! Fun and sexy story with some really heartfelt moments. Grace is an attorney, who has walls built up because people keep disappointing her and she doesn't believe she's capable of telling when people are lying to her. Tanner is a famous drifter in the racing world, who doesn't put down roots. These 2 have an instant connection, and it's wonderful! They are so cute together! They have great chemistry. Grace knows she'll care too much for Tanner, so she pushes him away because she doesn't want to be hurt when he leaves. I love this about her! I hate when girls know a guy isn't in for the long haul, so she acts like that's fine with her, but really it's not. Grace is honest about her not looking for a one night stand, but the connection between them won't be denied. Tanner is charming and a really good guy, who just wants to make Grace happy and be with her. Tanner is adorable! Loved getting to see the past characters from the previous books! The only thing I didn't like was a bit of a twist in Grace's life, I don't feel like it added anything to the story and it didn't work for me, but not enough to lower my rating. Loved this whole series, and I'm looking to more from Tina Wainscott!

I think this series keeps getting better and better. This is the third book in the series And i love it.

Grace has lived her life to get her father freed from jail. When her father admits his guilt, Grace is utterly lost.

Tanner works at the new racetrack in town. He lived most of his life as a drifter, going where the work takes him

When Tanner meets Grace in a bar, his only thoughts are to cheer her up, but the instant attraction between them leads to much more.

Tanner and Grace meet each other at the perfect time in their lives. Both are meandering lonely through life. Both of them are the product of dysfunctional upbringings.

Falling Free is a story about healing, learning how to trust again and love. It’s packed with exual tension you can cut with a knife. This book is a highly recommend.

This was just an ok read for me. I really liked Grace and Tanner but something just didn't connect me to the story. I understood Grace's reluctance to rely on others due to her past and Tanner's reluctance to settle down. I really did love them as a couple though. Overall just an ok read.
