Darling Dimple is thrilled to be moved from a kitchen scrubber to an upstairs dress presser for the princess. One day, she discovers a special closet of enchanted dresses. When Darling suspects a plot against the princess she uses dresses magic to help her investigate. Who is trying to free the dragons? Who wants to take over the kingdom? This lovable heroine and charming magical plot will enchant readers. Also, the reading level is on the easier side, so this book is best for around 8 – 9 year olds.
A winner! Sure to be a hit with my elementary students in my book club..

At first I was drawn to this book because of the amazing cover. The blurb sounded really interesting too and I do enjoy childrens books from time to time.
I found it really difficult getting into the story and for a children's book I found it really confusing. The book was very different from what I expected and I just couldn't warm up with the story. I found it immensely boring and dragging.
I couldn't connect with the little girl Darling and some developments were rather ridiculous and predictable.
I can see why people might enjoy this book but I have to say that it just wasn't mine. I am not going to rate this book.
Darling Dimple is a Scrubber and happy enough doing that until she finds herself thrust into the Upper world of the castle working as an Under Presser. When Darling finds a forgotten closet filled with beautiful old dresses, she can’t stop herself from trying one on, and finding out they have magic in them.
As the beautiful Princess Mariposa finally seems to be falling for a suitor, Darling is convinced that there is something wrong, and will use the magic of the dresses to help her save her princess from doom.
Really lovely read!
