Very interesting read. I've always been a fan of Amish Fiction. I also like this author's writing style.
I would like to thank NetGalley, Charisma House Realms, and Rachel J. Good for an advanced copy of Change of Heart for an honest review.
Change of Heart the first book in the Sisters and Friends series brings us into the lives of the Amish. We get to see how much the Amish stand for family and community, learning a lot about the Amish lifestyle. Emma is running wild during rumschpringe and her sister Lydia feels compelled to watch over and protect her younger sister. A truly lovely book about love, faith, family, and community. I definitely recommend this book.
Rachel J. Good has written a charming coming of age Amish tale. It is about a young family where one sister, Emma, is going through her rumschpringe, and rebelling, attending wild parties, and causing her family much heartache in the process. Emma’s older sister, Lydia, tries to help see Lydia that she needs to change her ways and change her heart. In the process of trying to bring her sister back to the fold, Lydia meets Emma’s Englischer boyfriend’s older brother, Caleb, and forms an unlikely attachment as they both strive to keep an eye on their younger siblings. So now Lydia must find a way to help her sister and decide if she will continue falling for and get together with Englischer Caleb, or marry her Amish intended Jakob. A sweet and inspiring story of struggling between right and wrong, offering and receiving forgiveness, and going for something good or something better. I would recommend this readers to those that enjoy inspirational, Amish fiction.

Yes, a life of faith will be rewarded! You will be inspired by this well written book with an unexpected and sweetly satisfying ending!
Rachel J. Good’s Change of Heart is a true-to-the-Amish story which shares wonderfully the daily challenge of living in but not of the modern world. You will be given a better understanding of Amish foods, language, customs, beliefs and practices.
A truly enjoyable read, a 5 of 5 stars! I look forward to reading more of Rachel’s books!
