As the mother of a daughter with cerebral palsy, I loved this book. It winsomely and accurately describes the similarities and differences that a child with cerebral has, as compared to his or her typical peers. In this book, Sydney describes how her body reacts, how muscle spasms may make her speech or face or legs do unusual things. But through it all, we see Sydney’s gorgeous, radiant smile and cheerful outlook on life. I simply loved this book!

This book would be appropriate for children, probably preschool through elementary. It could easily be used as part of a larger unit study on disabilities and diversity.

I gratefully received this book as a free eARC from the author, publisher, and NetGalley in exchange for my unbiased review.
