This book, read in the context of the pandemic and the current farce that is the UK government, it is easy to understand why the people of France rose up against their oppressors. I would like to avoid an uprising like this but I can't help but think some kind of anarchy is needed. In saying that, we can learn a lot from history and books like this are very necessary.
