Preston and Harmony’s story had me in tears within the first quarter of the book. My heart shattered for Harmony and the immense loss she suffered, but watching her slowly rebuild herself and find love amidst the darkness was truly beautiful. This second chance romance tugged at my heartstrings in the best possible way.
Searching for Harmony by Kelly Elliott will captivate you from the first page and you won't be able to put it down.
I Read it in one sitting. Highly Recommend it to all Readers.
Grabs you from the beginning and keeps you hanging on until the end. Heart- wrenching and thought-provoking story with interesting characters to follow along on this journey to work through there internal feelings to move forward in life. Good read.
searching for Harmony is a good love story. It is an easy read and is heartwarming. I recommend this book.
I was laughing and crying with Harmony. A real rollercoaster of a story and one I would recommend to friends
I was immediately drawn in with the storyline and the characters. I was crying immediately and smiling and laughing and crying. My emotions were across the board with Harmony. I was waiting with bated breath for each next step and the heated passion was off the charts. First, and not last, book from this author! Book provided by NetGalley.
Sometimes when you meet the one for you, it's under less than ideal circumstances. Sometimes the circumstances are tragic. Harmony suffers a loss the night she meets Preston. She's devastated and the more she learns the more she draws into herself. Preston is pulled to her despite trying not to be. Will they be able to have a happy ever after?
This one just didn't do it for me. I couldn't seem to connect with any of the characters and their drama went on for far too long.
I love everything that Kelly Elliott writes! Searching for Harmony was a beautifully written book about finding love at the most unexpected time. Preston and Harmony both had past issues they had to learn to deal with but loved being with each other. Will they be able to work through their issues and make a relationship work?
I loved the connection between Preston and Harmony. I loved watching their relationship grow throughout the book. The secondary characters added lots of depth to the storyline. Can't wait to see what Kelly is working on next!
Ms. Elliott is a new to me author. While I enjoyed SEARCHING FOR HARMONY, I expected (because of the blurb) a more emotional and gut wrenching story.
Yes, Harmony suffers a devistating loss, there's no denying that. But the author's use of time passing, we see her move on but not her grieving process.
I think with that it would've been a home run for me but regardless of that, I am looking forward to reading the next book along with others
from her library.
A great read that I received from NetGalley. Full of heartbreak, pain, and healing. Love Preston & Harmony!
A 2016 publication. This book opens with firefighter Preston Ward responding to a call and at the scene of the accident his eyes meets the woman’s, who asks him to save her baby. This does not happen. When Harmony Banks wakes up in the hospital she has lost her child and husband. Her brother and for some reason the firefighter Preston are there and she is given the news. The story goes along and you find that Preston is drawn to her to the point that he and his girlfriend breaks up. Harmony also finds out something about her husband and what he wanted to talk about before the accident and realizes he was going to ask for a divorce. After losing everyone that was close to her and now getting close to Preston. She arrives on a scene of a huge building fire and when she thinks that she may have lost him she realizes she cannot do this relationship either and leaves. Now it is up to Preston to decide to look for her or let her go. Read this nice story, for that is what it is a story, with good characters.
Sexy. Sweet. Unforgettable. I love this author and the stories she writes. Great chemistry. Undeniable attraction. Smoldering tension. Characters that make you feel everything. Highly recommended this book y'all!
Have not had a chance to read the book yet. This will get updated as soon as I read the book. If this book is part of a series it will be included when all the books have been read.
A complete heart breaking story full of raw and real emotions that will have you sobbing from your heart being ripped to your heart bursting from happiness.
Every single time I pick up a book my Kelly Elliott, I know that I will be taken on a journey that may take me on a roller coaster of emotions. Searching for Harmony did exactly that.
Harmony and her ex boyfriend, in high school, find out that she's pregnant not even a week after they break up. Harmony is given an ultimatum by her parents to either abort the baby or keep the baby and be disowned.
Three years later Harmony finds herself fighting for the love of Trey and just trying to be the best mom that she can be. Marrying Trey probably wasn't the best thing to do, but with their shared love for their baby boy TJ has kept them strong until recently. Harmony notices that Trey has been pulling back lately and she knows they need to work on things between them. But then the unimaginable happens - taking not only Trey but TJ away from her in an instant.
Preston Ward is a firefighter on the scene of the crash and he can't forget the woman who plead with him to help save her son. He goes to visit her in the hospital and finds there is this magnetic pull towards her that he can't resist.
Preston helps Harmony with finding herself once again and she navigates this new life and starts to wonder what is real from her life with Trey. Both feel the attraction towards each other but are afraid that each of them is placating the other to help get thru their grieve.
This journey that both Harmony and Preston take is one that pull as your heart. I laughed and cried through out the book. Kelly has a way of making you feel every part of the emotions going through her characters, so you feel invested in the story and feel as if you are living it along with them.
This book is about hope and finding love once again after you feel like your world is tilted so far there is no turning back.
Another amazingly powerful story by Kelly and that's what makes Kelly a go to author for me.
So somehow this book got lost in my library, so I'm so glad I realized it!! Another beautiful story from Kelly Elliott!! Kelly does such a wonderful job of bringing love and happiness to characters after such tremendous loss. Harmony and Preston may meet under less than ideal circumstances, but from their first shared look they recognized something connecting them. This was one of those Kelly books that kept me turning pages, loving the character interactions and cheering for their happiness! Looking forward to the rest of this series. 4.25 Stars
I am a huge fan of Kelly Elliott's and I have really enjoyed every story I have read from her. Searching for Harmony was no different, and I couldn't put this book down. It was emotional and well written, and was every bit as great as what I have come to expect from anything with her name on it. Searching for Harmony is the first book in her new Boston Love series, and I honestly can't wait for more.
Harmony Banks has lost everything before, but when a tragic accident once again upends her life she knows that nothing will ever be the same. After she finds out that things weren't as she had though, Harmony finds that the only person that makes things better is Preston Ward, the firefighter and first responder that saved her life the night of the horrific accident. Preston thought that he knew how to keep his emotions out of his job, but the accident that introduced him to Harmony changed everything for him. He finds himself unable to stay away from her, and his feelings for her continue to grow with every day that they spend together. But can Preston and Harmony leave the past behind and move forward together with all that they have been through?
I really loved Preston! He was absolutely amazing, the kind of stuff that book boyfriends are made of all rolled into one fantastic hero! He was sweet, kind, patient, and also unbelievably sexy. He was so perfect for Harmony, as though he was made just for her. I loved that the connection between Preston and Harmony was instant, yet their relationship was slow to build. These two took their time and I think that was what made their relationship so real and genuine. You could see the chemistry between them and that their connection continued to grow as the book progressed, yet they also didn't rush anything and that was exactly what they both needed. Harmony was so strong despite all that she had been through, and while she had her moments of weakness, Preston helped her to live again. These two had every right to be scared about the future, and yet together they were able to work through those fears and face the world with the help of the other.
The one thing I will say is that there were a few times that the actions of the characters frustrated me. But after everything that they had seen and been through, it was understandable that they would act in those ways. I didn't always like it, but I did see where they were coming from. This story was a very emotional read, and it is one of my favorite Kelly Elliott books. I highly recommend anything by Kelly Elliott, and I think fans of emotional contemporary romance will love this book as much as I did. I am already anxious for the next book in this series and I can't wait to see what Kelly Elliott has in store for us next.
Preston Ward and Harmony Banks share a tragic experience. Harmony's husband young son were killed in a car accident that she survived and Preston was one of the first responding firefighters to the scene. He wasn't able to save her son or her husband and there is an unbreakable bond that forms between them. Could they make each other happy or will the tragedy always be a shadow over their relationship.
I really liked the story of Preston and Harmony. They helped each other heal and learn to take a chance on love again. My one criticism is the language and descriptive sex scenes. I grew tired of the f-bombs and crude language. Not my cup of tea and because of that I wouldn't recommend the book to my friends.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
