Wonderful story of family relationships and especially the bond between sisters. Each of the sisters has their own demons and dilemmas that they're dealing with. But can they come together and share and support each other. Good read.
I am sorry for not reviewing fully but I don’t have the time to read this anymore. I believe that it wouldn't benefit you as a publisher or your book if I only skimmed it and wrote a rushed review. Again, I am sorry for not fully reviewing!
An easy read: Julie used to be the easy-going sister. But now she's mother of four boys under five, her marriage is under strain and she is struggling to keep sane. She needs support, but her sisters don't understand. After all, their lives are perfect. The Devlin sisters think they have little in common. They might just be in for a surprise.
A nice, if somewhat predictable, read.. Julie, Sophie and Louise have very different personalities and have drifted apart slightly as they have grown older but as problems hit them they discover that blood is thicker than water and they do all pull together. I like the way that this story is told with chapters alternating between the three of them.
Three sisters have very different lives, goals, and personalities. Sophie married rich and is living the good life. She has a nanny to help her with her well-behaved daughter, a cleaner to help her with the house, and plenty of time and money to shop and one-up her wealthy friends. Louise is a high-powered attorney who is quickly climbing the career ladder and has finally become a senior partner in the law firm. She is single with no children and she lives for her career. Julie is a disorganized, exhausted mother of four boys. She is happily married but spends all of her time tending to her husband and her children. She has one close friend, who also has four unruly children, who she depends for advice, laughter, and a brief break now and then since she the only person crazy enough to watch Julie's boys. All of the sisters are faced with sudden, life altering events and find themselves turning to each other for help. In the midst of adversity, the sisters learn what is truly important in life.
This book was a nice break from the suspense novels that I typically read. I highly recommend this for chick lit fans. The author did a great job in the portrayal of the sister's lives and her character development is wonderful. She even has a bit of humor sprinkled in occasionally. I thought that the ending dragged out just a bit. The last 100 pages or so could have wrapped up much more quickly. Still, it was a good read and I'll likely move on to book 2 in the series.
