Highly Recommend it to all readers.

A very good 4th book in the Tall, Dark, and Deadly series. Both MCs are interesting, their chemistry is spot on and the plot is good. The reader roots for them. I'd easily recommend to someone looking for a Suspense Romance. Especially if they want a long series!

I was transfixed with my first book by Lisa Renee Jones. I love romantic suspense and this was a good one! Kyle and Myla's connection was unmistakeable and their chemistry was hot. The story flowed well and I haven't read any of the other books, but I didn't feel lost from the characters. If anything it made me want to know this group more. The writing was suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat. I wanted to see more of the kingpin and how he interacted with Myla and I thought the ending was kind of abrupt, but it didn't detract from my enjoyment of the story. Good read!

It took forever to get around to reading this...and I'm soooo sorry that I did because it was perfectly written!!

No one does mystery and intrigue quite like Lisa Renee Jones and I’ve been hooked ever since. There's just something so different about her that makes you want to pick up or preorder all her next books that come out. You're both waiting and dreading what's going to happen next in the story.

I would definitely advise reading this one first since it's the start of the series.

Falling for the person you're supposed to save before your even undercover, can be very dangerous. Kyle is ex FBI and will stop at nothing to make sure Myla is safe. She's with the leader of one of the biggest drug cartels and it's appears that she is his. She's scared most of the time but is hidding a fighter under all of it and the other half she is trying to decide who she can't trust, which is basically no one but herself. It's not a story that gives you happily ever after at the beginning. It makes you work for it!

I have been sitting on this one for a while and not sure why I have not read it but that one is on me. It was so, so good! Myla was kidnapped by Alvarez and presumed dead but Kyle has not given up and believes she is still alive and when he is contacted to protect someone on a short-term basis for an astronomical amount of money he is rewarded by the fact it is Myla! When he finally determines she is not brainwashed or working with Alvarez and essentially deep undercover he lets down some of his walls and they form a trust and deep love while striving to survive and bring down the kingpin. With the Walker clan working in the background along this was a quick read because I couldn't put it down and I'm surprised my kindle survived how fast I was turning the pages. As with all these Walker books, this can be read as a standalone but really why would you want to when there are so many out there and they are all good ones.

Gripping book but not one of my favorite story by Lisa Renee Jones.

Oh, I love how LRJ is able to create tension in her stories.

So this series is about the Walker Security company and the main players are ex-FBI, ex-ATF, ex-SEALs….you get the idea. They are so alpha and once they find the person who they are mean to be with they will not take no for an answer. In this book, Kyle takes a job for a cartel boss who wants him to be the bodyguard for his woman, Myla.

I have to admit that I had not read the prior Tall, Dark and Deadly books so I missed the back stories for the already formed couples, but still I could quickly connect with Kyle and Myla. At times I loved their instant connection, but at times things seemed a bit rushed or unnatural. Like if he didn’t know who he was guarding, then how did he know everything about her…..wouldn’t that have seemed odd to her. And then the scene on the airplane….seemed really rushed.

So, I’m a newbie to LTJ...I know shocker! I really like her writing style even though the plot pace was a touch slow to me, I will definitely be reading more of her work.

5 amazing stars

Ever since i read my first book by Lisa Renee Jones, i was hooked and simply couldn't get enough of her stories. She's one of those authors that created an insta-fan in me because while all different from one another, all of her books have that realism that makes you thirst for more. The first books i read by this author was her Careless Whisper series and it blew me away, but who would have thought that while reading Deep Under, I'd get to find a reference to it!

4.5 sexy dreams

There's no denying how captivating this story. I couldn't get through it fast enough to find out what would happen between Kyle and Myla - their chemistry is undeniable and their history so tangled up together that it was more than a little nerve racking. This is the type of book that will keep you at the edge of your seat from start to finish. Needless to say that i'm impatiently waiting for the next instalment in this series.

DEEP UNDER is the fourth book in the Tall, Dark, & Deadly series and the first book in the Walker Security series. There are also passing comments about Sarah and Chris from the Inside-Out series (which will soon be on TV – omg I can’t wait) and Ella from the Careless Whispers series. Confused yet? Don’t be! It can stand alone. I personally have not read the other three TDD books, and had no trouble.

Yes, Kyle has experience going deep undercover, but Myla has figured it out to keep herself alive for the last year. I love the slow build to trust and love.

Not only is this a wonderful romance with Kyle believing that Myla is alive against all odds, but it is also a story of intrigue and fighting for self and for others. I held my breath through so many pages, it’s surprising I haven’t turned permanently blue.

The next book in the series, PULLED UNDER, will be out in less than two weeks – I am looking forward to reading it!

Note: while I was given this book as a gifted ARC, my opinions are my own and are given freely

A prolific writer, Lisa Renee Jones never disappoint her fans. Her stories are always engaging and more often than not, adrenaline pumping. You can't turn the page fast enough! You just need to know what happens next.

"Deep Under," the 4th book in her Tall, Dark and Deadly series, runs true to form as Kyle and Myla captivates with their would-be-lovers-but-don't-know-it-yet scenario.

Going deep into the drug cartel territory, Lisa Renee Jones weaves a complicated yarn of truths and lies. Who is the rescuer? Who is the rescuee? Who is the victim? Who is the perpetrator? And most of all, who is protecting who?

Adrenaline pumping from beginning to end, there are so many twists and turns that you are literally or figuratively sitting at the edge of your chair! You just can't put this book down once you start.

"Deep Under" is Rated M for Mature due to violence and sexual content. 5 Stars!

"He's the apple in the Garden of Eden, and Michael Alvarez is the snake tempting me to take a bite."

Those words couldn't be more true to describe this story. Myla has found herself stuck between a rock and a hard place. A year ago, a chance encounter with Alvarez, the mysterious leader of a drug cartel, plunged her into a life of debauchery, manipulation and fear. Desperate to keep her last surviving relative (her big sister) safe, she relies on her wit and surprisingly successful acting abilities to figure a way out of her predicament. Trusting no one becomes a lot harder when Alvarez hires Kyle to protect her. After believing Myla to be dead, Kyle and the other men of Walker Security were determined to bring Alvarez and his entire cartel to its knees in the name of justice. No one expected the person Kyle went undercover to protect to be Myla.

I liked the instant connection between the characters. Although I didn't really understand Myla and I can't really pinpoint why she rubbed me the wrong way at times, I did admire the way the author characterized her. She had integrity, compassion, intelligence, and ambition in spades. As for Kyle... I couldn't get enough of this man. He was obviously incredibly alpha, protective, and honorable. The way he kept putting himself on the line in order to keep Myla safe was what really got me in the feels.

If I had to list one issue I had with the story, it would be that I wanted more time to be spent with these two characters as a couple. Their relationship started in secret while she was practically owned by Alvarez and I was hoping their relationship would be explored once it was out in the open, through an epilogue or something. Regardless, this story gave me a real taste for these Walker Security men and as this was my first read from the series, I'm eager to get to know each of them a little better.

Ms Jones hits another home run! I read this book before reading any other titles in the Tall, Dark & Deadly series. (Reading it has made me purchase the first 3 titles and the prelude... Yes, it's that good!)

This highly readable story focuses on Myla. Through a twist of fate Myla finds herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. As a result, she is forced to become a part of Michael Alvarez's life. That means if she doesn't do as the kingpin says, she and her beloved sister will both face his wrath. As Myla learns more about Alvarez, she realizes that though she's lost her freedom, she may yet have the chance to help save the girls that Michael is trafficking for sex.

Kyle is hired to be her bodyguard, and he is more than up to the task. What happens when Kyle is as interested in pressing up against her body as he is protecting it can only be described as explosive. There is sure to be fallout from their involvement. Readers can only pray they all survive to take down Alvarez once and for all.

Great fast paced story with a good suspense story line. The characters were great and I loved Kyle and Myla together.

It was a good book but was missing just a little something to make it great. I LOVED the two main characters and how we got to see their real selves when they were alone. They had a great connection but something was just missing.
