Summit is about Mt. Everest, the quest to reach the summit and the undercurrents in the pursuit to reach it. The story weaves together a present-day story with one unfolding in pre-world war 1939. The author beautifully manages to handle both storylines, making them interesting and having the reader wanting to know what's going to happen next. There are many exciting and surprising twists and turns and I thoroughly loved this book.
