I received a free copy from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I loved being able to take a look at some upcoming titles. My friends often ask me for book suggestions, so this was really helpful.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Adore samples and The Algonquin Reader Fall 2016 is an especially good one. Found titles I might have missed and enjoyed the essays by each selected author. 5/5
Thanks to Algonquin Books and NetGalley for this fun read. Opinions are mine.

It seems great to me that some publishers allow potentional reviewers to be able to sample some of the upcoming works. There were some interesting ones for sure.
This was fantastic. An essay giving a little insight into the process of finding story ideas and then an excerpt from said story.
I immediately wanted to buy Leave Me but I resisted... purely a financial consideration. After reading the rest of the excerpts, I would be game to read any of them but to actually shell out money, maybe not right now.
Will definitely be looking out for more of these types of books.
An excellent catalogue with some fantastic excerpts of upcoming books. A bit like Buzz Books and you can never have too many catalogues with sneak peeks at big new books that you may otherwise have missed. Fab!
Very good way of showcasing the upcoming books. Enjoyed the essays by the authors
Nice preview of novels, a few of which I'm considering buying. I enjoyed the short essays written by the authors before each novel excerpt.
Excellent titles. The one that sticks out most to me is Leave Me by: Gayle Foreman. I look forward to reading the finished versions of these novels.
Interesting preview of upcoming literature. Gayle Forman's essay takes a different looks at argument in novels. Are we really fighting about what we are fighting about or is the piece forming a statement? Loved her statement, "(laundry) is like the Trojan horse."
