Maeve Binchy was one of only a handful of authors whose books I actually bought (other than borrowing from the library.) I read her books from the time I was in secondary school and always enjoyed them. Something about the way she writes fires my imagination. She was one spectacular storyteller! Her novels speak to the heart, and while her stories usually told of relationships between ordinary people, she writes with a voice that captivates you.

I enjoyed this short story a lot. There was an unexpected twist at the end. None of the outcomes were predictable!
