If you love wandering through used bookstores, as few and far between as they are these days, you will enjoy this book. It is wonderfully written, with engaging characters, but not much of a plot. This is the kind of book one reads to peep into the lives of others, not to follow a narrative full of highs and low. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Really wanted to like this book, especially since I liked the IDEA of it, but in the end it did not work for me. The characters were not very believable, and the narrator quickly became unlikeable. It almost seemed like the narrator would rather be doing anything else than narrating the book. The first half was generally decent, but the second half was hard to read, and almost made me give up. I am sorry I was not able to finish this book, I lost my Nook and and was unable to replace it in time.
