I was very curious to read this mystery, I really liked the cover, the title and the blurb. I'm not disappointed. It 's really a great read.
Josie is a part-time reporter and her dog writes a blog. She has returned to her hometown after a heavy disappointment of love and helps her family in the restaurant. The city is full of tourists for the Homestead Days Music Festival. Opening the festival is the charming guitarist Jeff Clark, the former boyfriend of her dear friend Patti. He begins to court her and Josie is afraid Patti suffer again. When she tries to talk to him finds him dead and Patti is the main suspect. Josie and her dog will have to investigate to save her friend.
Josie is smart, very generous, friendly but a little nosy. I really loved the dog Lenny, really cute and funny. The author was very good at describing the small and quirky community and its wealth and cultural diversity
The author had me hooked from the very first to the very last sentence. The pacing of the story is smooth and even, the plot tight and intricate, and the story itself, riveting.
Highly recommended
