An interesting book about a President who started out as an orphan and slowly worked his way out of that hole to a place at Stanford from there he went to work overseas mainly in geology from South America to Australia. Became known for his great organizational skill which would lead him into government. Working in Wilson’s and Coolidgege’s cabinets. The author explains in great depth just what he accomplished in his various jobs succeeding in all. He also before and after becoming President wanted to put breaks on Congress about spending but to no avail. It should also be noted he was also against forgiving all of the loans from foreign countries from there it was just a matter of time. The author also brings up the fact that many programs that FDR gets credit for were started by Hoover it was just that everyone was just so down on him there was no way he was going to win the election the way it was being told in the press. A really good book.
