This is a really great start to a new contemporary romance series. I loved the characters, the premise, and the setting. It all came together for a fantastic book!

As this is the first book in the Colorado High Series, readers may find it a bit slow going. That stems from the need to introduce the characters and set the scenes for the series. On the whole, I find the premise interesting, and the characters are multi-layered(both primary and secondary) so that bodes well for future books. If you are a fan of Ms. Clare's I-Team Series, you may find this book a little tame, but well worth the read.
Barely Breathing is a second chance at love story, well crafted and with an enjoyable happily ever after. Pamela Clare writes with humor and her scenarios are first rate. Looking forward to the next installment.
