This is a nice collection of short stories from a wide range of authors. Anthologies such as this are a great opportunity to sample writing from different writers and to discover the unfamiliar. It was nice to see that both male and female writers were selected here and there was a fairly decent spread across the nineteenth and twenty-first centuries. A useful springboard for readers hoping to gain inspiration for their future reading and a nice primer for those looking to expand their knowledge of literature. I am glad to have read this book and will look for similar collections in the future.
