This book was well written. I, however did not really find it to be any more interesting than any other self help book currently on the market, so it is more of a one time read and done for me.

Interesting read though there wasn't too much new in the book. But for people who are new to spirituality, this is an upbeat, refreshing book.

I love Gabrielle Bernstein, she is unique and, funny but most of all she is honest and what she writes will probably make you shed some tears, but I assure you she will speak to your heart like nobody before.

I found some things in this book to be beneficial. There was a lot of the book though that was what some would call toxic positivity.

This book took me a while to review far reading it because I enjoyed a good amount of it, but there were also a good amount of moments in the book that didn't really sit that well with me.
So let's start with what I found a bit lacking
A good amount of this book is very repetitive and I feel that the only purpose for that was to fill pages. It sent becuse it was necessary or useful or even used to really drive a point home but just to fill up pages. So instead of coming up with something new or give new examples or just make the book shorter, the author choose to repeat herself.
The other very noticable thing to me was that a lot if not most or all of her examples of stories in this book where a very niche experience and felt to me like a rich white girl and her problems and solutions that most other people can not execute in that way becuse it's just not realistic, either because normal people don't have the money necessary for what is said or because the example would never actually work in a more compex issue.
On the other hand what I liked about this book was
That she does have good concepts in this book. Her stories or examples as just mentioned weren't great but the actual concepts and lessons? Those were good!
She has so many good points on trying to shift thoughts from fear to love in many situations and while that certainly is never easy, it's defiantly something we should all work on as a species since so many issues we have world wide are the results of fear!
I also loved how this book talks about not judging someone based on my own standpoint but rather trying to see it from their perspectives,
Yes all that is nothing new and we all know we should do those things but do we actually do them in everyday life?
Most of us certainly don't. I am working very hard in bettering myself in those ways but certainly still struggle a good amount of times with it!
So overall this book is worth a read but it's also not a front to back cover read but more of a skip to the concepts Or lessons since those are worth it, and if you enjoy those give the rest a try and see !

I love self help/ inspirational books. I read a lot of them. I love Gabbys IG but the book just felt like a book about her. It's more of a beginner guide to enlightenment. Unfortunately it's very self-promoting.
Huge disappointment.

A lot of the information is repetitive. Surrender to the universe and the universe will provide. Unfortunately I didn’t fin much value in the writing. I found myself skipping ahead a lot of the time hoping so,etching really great was around the corner. I just didn’t make a personal connection with the book.

I felt like this book was repeating itself throughout. I liked the premise but it was a struggle to read.

Loved this! I felt like this had more depth and focus than her earlier book Spirit Junkie, which I had a hard time getting through. The exercises and corresponding meditations in each chapter fit perfectly into my morning routine, and I have continued to do many of them.

Bernstein has done it again! Another inspiring, go-getter of a book to help those of us feeling a little lost to find their way!

My favorite tidbit came from the story of the monks who were sent into a city with a lot of violence and crime. Through focused meditation the monks were able to lower the crime rate. This is due to the change in energy of what Carl Jung refers to as the collective consciousness. So, by choosing to meditate, you increase positive vibes and the ability to heal the world.

With the start of the new year, this book has come in to my life at the perfect time. Full of wonderful advice and little reminders that if practiced, will shape your life in a positive way. I love the idea that a day can be whatever you make it, and by taking time to refocus, you can improve your life. Will this book cure all that ills the world? No, but it will help to keep a positive outlook, which will make even the darkest situations a bit lighter. And hey, maybe even change the world.
