Decent storyline with enough flair for an interesting premise that manages to keep the reader interested in the book till the end. Decent story for lovers of historical romance.

A good book with plots and twists to keep a reader interested. The hero and heroine were interesting and the dialogue decent, just a tiny bit predictable. I've read this previous books in this series and this one was my least favorite, but it was still good. I do recommend this book.

When Emilia finds evidence of her father scheming against the crown, she goes to the Highland Knight for help. Colin is asked to protect her and he soon takes her to seclusion Scotland. While together they help eat other to heal, Emilia from the abuse of her father and Colin from the memories of war. I just loved watching these two together! This was a great conclusion to the Highland Knights series!

Great story line and characters. Loved how Emilia and Colin helped each other heal from past hurts.

I absolutely LOVED this book, by far the best in the series so far! The romance and mystery were perfectly proportionate and the main characters are perfectly flawed! The story had a multiple plots in one book and keeps the reader engaged the whole time! I highly recommend this book!

Much of what I remember about this book has to do with Emilia being so brave in trying to get the information out from what her father has planned. Also the night terrors that Colin suffers made me feel like he could be any one who just returned from a hard battle. My hear broke for him.
