An intense and captivating read. Solid layout and design, would definitely recommend to others, and would read more from the author.
I really like Graham Masterton's books. I have read many of them for years. This book kinda disappointed me a little though. Maybe it's because I'm so used to obscene gore? I found this book, even though it's re-printed, was more of a thriller. It's not to say that the writing itself wasn't good, of course it is. The ending just was anti-climatic to what I'm used to with his writing's I have read. There we're bits in between that seemed that they could have been built up better and dropped some of the small amounts of minutia that was unnecessary.
Either way, I enjoy ANY thing related to Native American's, as I am Cherokee and Choctaw myself. I thought the Native lore was well thought out. Even though there was overuse of the whole "white man" thing. I get that this was originally written in 1977('78), more usage of the terms we're used then. I'm not trying to say I was offended, just caught it being used quite a bit.
Overall, the story flowed well. It was thought out. It just fell flat in those two areas I mentioned above. Either way, it's always a treat to read Graham's work.
Note: I received an E-copy for an honest and unbiased review. Thank you for the pleasure!
