I enjoyed this book very much and look forward to reading more from this author.

I really enjoyed Elinor and Will's story, a reunion story, which I always love!
Everyone thinks that Elinor is dead, so when Will sees her in Paris, he is thrown for a loop! Their reunion is not a happy one. Will has a job to do for the crown and doesn't need the distraction of an old flame, but his heart keeps getting in the way.
Can these two find their way back to each other?

Lady Elinor (Elle) had been in love with Will Naismith since she was a very young girl. Will was her brother's best friend and she had declared when she was 10 years old that she would marry him someday. On her eighteenth birthday, she seduced him in her family's garden and then he had disappeared. She was convinced that he would never love her as she loved him and since she was carrying his child, she needed to get married and leave town immediately. And that is exactly what she did.
Six years later finding herself in France and having believed that her daughter had died at birth, she was lost. She was a widow and recently learning that her daughter had survived and had been kidnapped, she was determined to do whatever was necessary to find her and get her back. She had befriended an evil French general, Gerard Durent. He had wanted her but wanted to serve France more so he had made a deal with her to "share" her with another man in order to get secrets from an English spy and then he would give her daughter back. When she found out the man he suspected as being the English spy, The Razor, was indeed her lost love, Will Naismith, she couldn't believe her luck. She was angry with Will for having abandoned her shortly after their tryst and not responding to any of her letters telling him of her pregnancy and fear. She figured it was time for some payback.
Will had loved Elle for so long and had been told she had died in childbirth. When he saw her in France and realized that she had not died but had abandoned her daughter, he was furious and convinced she was a French spy. Even though he loved her, he would not assist her in her espionage.
There were twists and turns in this book but in the end good won over evil and happiness abounded. I enjoyed the story very much. The continual descriptive sex got a bit tiresome but I enjoyed the story.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
